Jury is still out on BJ! Tiki was so much of what the NYG did on offense, run, catch, block, he did it all, and until we see BJ in that spot at least 1-2 years, nobody really knows what he can do.

Great size, looks like he can be a good power runner, goal line type of guy, but let's wait and see how good he can be.

Man your ignorant and BTW In the 4 days this has been back up I have brought MORE conversation to this board than you have EVER including the Old Smackdown.

Now YOU GET OFF YOUR "HIGH HORSE" And either contribute or Leave -- The only thing you have done AGAIN is call me out -- I didnt see you call 5xchampions out on the same exact question Maybe different words -- But the question was exactly the same as mine.

Tex Just for your INFO Jacobs as of NOW is the STARTER and until that changes (Which is almost impossible) he will carry the load as you so eloquently put it and will be a successful R/B in this league and on this team. Hopefully he wont get hurt. I also hope/foresee a very big POWER RUNNER that will wear out defense's by the Mid to late 3rd qtr and a Ball Control offense that wont put a whole lot of pressure on Eli Manning so he can mature and be an elite QB in this league

I know he is and my point is he is NO Tiki Barber, he won't even come close to Tiki
as far as running, speed and any of Barbers abilities

Jacobs is actually faster than Barber. Jacobs is stronger, bigger, and faster. Tiki just had an amazing ability to find the whole, cutback and hit it. He was also pretty tough to tackle. Great vision though. Who knows if Jacobs has it, we'll have to see.

Or so you hope Go_Eli I'd like to know what times these two ran in the
40 for comparison..but my guess is Barber smoked him

Tex G-E Is correct in saying Jacobs is FASTER than Tiki was -- Tiki was much more agile and his quickness (Which is basically the same as Agility) Mad him appear faster than he actually was.

Jacobs 40 times were better than Tiki's

Again you dodged the Question. You came here to CALL ME OUT AGAIN!!!!!!!! If thats the case then Own up to it!!!!!!!!

I dont need to LEARN ANYTHING by watching ESPN. On the other hand I think you need to learn how to Start a thread and be more specific in what you are trying to get across. You also need to learn to stop copying my Statements

SUCH AS "JACOBS IS FASTER THAN TIKI" -- I have been saying that since he got drafted -- I also stated it at least 10 times this week to get my point across that Jacobs will be our premier R/B and Droughns will be used as a breather and backup

Peace

I was shocked to learn that Jacobs was faster then Tiki. I must admit that I havn't given Jacobs much of a chance. I'm really looking forward to watching Jacobs start this season. If he has anywhere near the vision that Tiki had, he should do very well.

So watching the games is now "copying your statements"? You mean even if I see something and you comment on it first, I can't say it?

And I don't see Droughns as a backup/breather. I see Droughns getting a tons of carries along with Jacobs. I could see both having somewhere between 13 and 17 carries a game.

As you see H4 it's real hard to get people that aren't familiar with him to actually believe it. How can a 6ft 4 inch 260+ guy be that fast??

Well he is and his NFL career will be amazing, I know this to be true I feel it in my heart and soul (If he stays healthy??) Thats my only question about him.

This guy believe it or not has all the tools. He can catch, he is strong, he can drag defenders for 10 plus yards on his back, I havent seen it yet, but he supposedly has cutback skills and can make people miss.

He was told by the NY Giants coaches in the past, to run over defenders. He is now being told to make them miss. Since he is going to be our workhorse. (Which he has shown the coaches in practice that he can do that)

I'm very excited to see him as the starter. I really wished the past 2 seasons that they would have given him more carries than they had. (It's hard to sit a Tiki Barber on the bench though)

Well it's Jacobs turn now and you guys will see him do what I'm saying he can do. He will surprise and open the eyes of many people in and around the NFL

Well EFP it wouldn't be the first time you would be wrong. Examples: Eli Manning being great (to be determined but still hasn't happened), Giants winning the division last year, Tom Coughlin leading the Giants to the promised land, Tiki NOT retiring, etc...

Back to the topic; I think Jacobs has the tools to be a great RB. He is built like a LB and has underrated speed if what you guys say is true. I haven't seen it out of him, but rarely is he running in the open field. But he is an unknown so far. Can he take a years worth of pounding being the "feature" back? He is going to be relied on to keep the pressure off Sheli.

Well EF I never claimed to be correct all the time.

Not an excuse but we did have quite a few key injuries last season. I also wanted Coughlin and his coaching staffs heads on a platter after week 3. I did get some of that. New Offensive Coordinator, New Defensive coordinator, and a new QB's coach. Im fairly happy with the QB's Coach and the DC -- Im not sold on our OC.

Like I said yesterday Mannings non progression I feel is play calling and Coaching. Manning will be here well after TOM DICKHEAD COUGHLIN is fired. I say they will give him at the minimum 2 more seasons to mature.

I say this because who ever the new HC is next season the Giants Organization will want to let Eli and the HC work with each other and then go from there.

I still believe Manning will be a Great QB in this league. He needs a coach that doesn't expect him to make 15 reads during a play (Yes under our former OC Eli had so many reads before and after the snap, even Dan Marino stated he couldn't be successful having to do that) Gilbride is now the OC and Im not sold on him either. He did however run the ball more when he took over at the end of last season. The Jury is still out on him, so we shall see.

Like I said in an earlier post Jacobs has the tools and skills to be the workhorse. The only question I have at this time is CAN HE STAY HEALTHY. If he proves to be able to take the pounding I have NO DOUBT WHAT SO EVER HE WILL BE A PREMIER RUNNING BACK IN THIS LEAGUE.

BTW when did I ever say this: Tiki NOT retiring, etc...

G_E was the one stating that Tiki wouldn't Retire -- Not me. I did however say Tiki announcing his retirement might have been a ploy and message to the Front Office to fire TOM COUGHLIN and company, and if they had gotten rid of COUGHLIN he most likely would have returned to play another season, in fact if you listened to him on good morning ny ( I Think) you would have heard him state that Coughlin's ways really got him in the RETIRE NOW MODE so th speak.

Thank You Ven -- I guess I'm not the only person here that thinks ESPN is a joke with IDIOTS spewing B/S with no real fact behind it. But then again --- Some People or "IDIOTS" think they can "LEARN" from these guys.

I guess thats why this thread started off as "BUY OR SELL BRANDON JACOBS?? LMFAO!!!!
